Halloween Song -I'm A Pumpkin-
Here's a good way to teach adjectives of feeling. Use a lot of facial expression, gestures and movement to teach them.
1. How to teach:
Introduce the vocabulary first with facial expressions and gestures:
happy, crazy, silly, lazy, sick, mad, sleepy, sad
Add: I'm (happy) and drill all the sentences with gestures |
2. How to sing the song:
Have students make a gesture of a big, fat pumpkin (arms rounded to the side)
At "Now..." cross arms in a sweeping motion in front of your face
(henshin!)
"I'm a jack o'lantern!"
I'M A PUMPKIN
(Melody: Did You Ever See a Lassie)
I'm a pumpkin, a pumpkin, a pumpkin
| I 'm a pumpkin now |
I'm a jack o'lantern |
| |
I'm happy
I'm crazy
I'm silly
I'm lazy
I'm sick
I'm mad
I'm sleepy
I'm sad |
| I 'm a pumpkin now |
I'm a jack o'lantern |
