We had another wonderful seminar on March 21st.
‘1-Day MAT Basic Seminars’ are aimed at all teachers of young learners who want to learn how to teach effectively and confidently by using the Model Action Talk (MAT) METHOD.
The workshops are run by the trainers from the IIEEC Teacher Training Center.
Those participants who attend all 4 workshops and complete the assessment from each workshop will receive a certificate from the IIEEC Teacher Training Center.
The main topic for the workshop 3 was how to introduce plural form effectively. Japanese learners tend to forget to write the -s or forget to pronounce it because the Japanese language does not change whether the item is singular or plural.
With the Model Action Talk (MAT) METHOD, we have the students find out the grammatical rules by comparison and use Word Cards to clarify the grammar point. In this way, we can do the introduction with impact!!
Also, there is plenty of time where the participants actually do the teacher’s part and see if they really have understood the MAT Basic Practice System. We hope that the teachers will be able to practice the skills in their lessons right away.
Besides this practicum section, we also discussed how to do Role Plays and do Learning Activities efficiently as well as reviewing the MAT Phonics.

The fee must be received before each event.
【Cancellation and Refund】
Cancellation is accepted by four days (the previous Wednesday) before each event.
We will deduct the handling fee (500 yen) from the total amount and refund the rest.
We cannot refund you if you cancel after the deadline.
